Perambra State assembly constituency is one of the 140 state legislative assembly constituencies in Kerala in southern India. It is also one of the seven state legislative assembly constituencies included in Vatakara Lok Sabha constituency. It is a Thiyyar dominated constituency. Electoral history indicates that the constituency has predominantly elected Thiyyar candidates, reflecting its Thiyyar majority demographic, with political parties often fielding candidates from the community in consideration of electoral dynamics and their representation in politics.[1][2]
