Bryson Kuzdzal (born June 22, 2005) is an American college football running back for the Michigan Wolverines.
Early life
[edit | edit source]Kuzdzal attended Forest Hills Eastern High School in Ada, Michigan where he played American football, basketball and track and field. He was a member of the Division 2 MHSAA state runner-up track and field team.[1] During his senior year he rushed for 1,379 yards and 22 touchdowns, averaging 10.4 yards per carry.[2]
College career
[edit | edit source]On November 3, 2022, Kuzdzal accepted a preferred walk-on offer to play college football at the University of Michigan.[3][4] Kuzdzal did not see any game action during his freshman year. During the 2024 season, in his redshirt freshman year, he appeared in six games on special teams. He made his collegiate debut on September 7, 2024, in a game against Texas.[1] He scored his first career touchdown on September 13, 2025, in a game against Central Michigan.[5] On November 15, 2025, in a game against Northwestern at Wrigley Field, he rushed for a then career-high 53 yards on 15 carries, after running back Jordan Marshall left the game due to injury.[6] Before Marshall's injury he had just six yards on three attempts. During the final drive in the fourth quarter he carried the ball on four plays setting up Dominic Zvada's game-winning field goal as time expired.[7] The following week, Marshall was a game-time decision, and was replaced by Kuzdzal.[8] On November 22, 2025, in a game against Maryland, he had 20 carries for a career-high 100 yards and three touchdowns.[9][10]
