This template maps time zones to coordinates in original format from zone.tab of tz database:
# 2. Latitude and longitude of the zone's principal location # in ISO 6709 sign-degrees-minutes-seconds format, # either +-DDMM+-DDDMM or +-DDMMSS+-DDDMMSS, # first latitude (+ is north), then longitude (+ is east).
Usage
[edit source]{{Time zone/coordinates}} has one required positional parameter for timezone name from tz database. For example:

Timezone names can be in the database but return no coordinates, for example from timezone links:

For invalid timezone names:
{{Time zone/coordinates}}→ Time zone (null) is not in Template:Time zone/coordinates{{Time zone/coordinates|}}→ Time zone is not in Template:Time zone/coordinates{{Time zone/coordinates|No such TZ name}}→ Time zone No such TZ name is not in Template:Time zone/coordinates
Data format

If performed in this order, it will convert +- to NSEW
search ^- replace S search ^+ replace N search - replace W search + replace E
If +- is converted to NSEW:
search ([NS])([0-9]{2})([0-9]{2})[0-9]{0,2}([EW])([0-9]{3})([0-9]{2})[0-9]{0,2}
replace $2|$3|$1|$5|$6|$4
result: all entries will have DD|MM|NS|DDD|MM|EW format - needed by template:coord
