Rayan Elloumi (Arabic: ريان اللومي; born September 17, 2007) is a footballer who plays for Vancouver Whitecaps FC in Major League Soccer. Born in Canada, he represents Tunisia at youth level.

Early life

Elloumi played youth soccer with Edmonton Juventus SC, before joining Edmonton BTB SC as a teenager, while spending some time in the Whitecaps FC BMO Academy Centre in Edmonton, until eventually joining the Vancouver Whitecaps FC Academy in August 2023.[1][2][3]

Club career

Elloumi began playing with Whitecaps FC Academy in League1 British Columbia in 2024.[4]

On June 9, 2024, he made his professional debut with Whitecaps FC 2 in MLS Next Pro, in a 4–0 victory over Los Angeles FC 2.[5] On October 6, 2024, he scored his first goal in a 3–1 loss to Houston Dynamo 2.[6] In June 2025, he signed a professional contract with Whitecaps FC 2 (after previously playing as an academy call-up).[7] In June 2025, he signed a short-term loan with the Vancouver Whitecaps FC first team.[8] He signed additional loans with the first team that month as well.[9][10] He made his Major League Soccer debut on June 14, 2025, against the Columbus Crew.[11] At the end of the 2025 season, he was named the Whitecaps FC 2 player of the year.[12]

On September 12, 2025, Elloumi signed a Homegrown Player contract with the Vancouver Whitecaps FC through the 2028 season, with options for 2029 and 2030.[13][14] He scored his first MLS goal the following night in the Whitecaps' 7–0 victory over the Philadelphia Union, becoming the first Whitecaps homegrown player in club history to score on his home debut.[15][16]

International career

In August 2025, Elloumi was called up to the Canada U18 team for a series of friendlies.[17]

In September 2025, the Tunisian Football Federation announced that Elloumi had agreed to represent the nation at international level.[18] He scored in his debut, a 3–0 win over the Iraq U23s on October 11, 2025.[19]
