Xalavier Nelson Jr. is a video game developer who is the founder and creative director of indie game studio Strange Scaffold.[1]
Awards and accomplishments
[edit | edit source]Nelson was named by Forbes as one of their "30 Under 30" for gaming in 2024.[2]
In 2024, Nelson won the Black in Gaming Indie Developer Award.[3]
Nelson's game El Paso, Elsewhere was nominated for the D.I.C.E. Award for Outstanding Achievement for an Independent Game at the 27th Annual D.I.C.E. Awards in 2024.[4]
In 2025, Nelson was named one of BAFTA's US Breakthroughs.[5]
