Reception

[edit | edit source]

(Roughly translating to This vision of cinema through the soundtrack is especially astonishing. For The Footstep Man is first and foremost a reflection on the importance of the soundtrack and the seductive deception it constitutes).[2] The Canberra Times' Dougal McDonald says "It's a good story which Narbey handles well".[3] Mark Tierney, writing in Listener, says "The Footstep Man is a difficult film. Its tone of cramped despair is rarely alleviated."[4]
