Usage
[edit source]This project banner template should be added (not subst:ed) to the talk page of within the scope of the project. While the template does not require any additional parameters, it has a number of optional ones that add various extra features to the banner. The full syntax is as follows:

- needs-image – set
|needs-image=yesto request that a picture or pictures be included in the article to improve its quality.- This parameter populates Category:Wikipedia requested images of dentistry.

[edit source]Quality assessment
[edit source]An article's quality assessment is recorded using the |class= parameter in the {{WikiProject banner shell}}. Articles that have the {{WikiProject Dentistry}} banner template on their talk page will be added to the appropriate categories by quality.
The following standard grades may be used to describe the quality of mainspace articles (see Wikipedia:Content assessment for assessment criteria):

Importance assessment
