Optional parameters

• attention – set |attention=yes if the page needs immediate attention. Please leave an explanatory note on the talk page about why this flag is set.
  • This parameter populates Category:Astronomy articles needing attention.
• class – valid values are fa, a, ga, b, c, start, stub, fl, list, na (case-insensitive). See the project's quality scale for details. Setting an explicit value of NA is rarely necessary; for this, either leave |class= blank or omit the parameter.
• constellations – set |constellations=yes if the article is supported by Constellations Task Force.
  • This parameter populates the relevant subcategory of Category:Constellations articles by quality based upon the |class= parameter.
• cosmology – set |cosmology=yes if the article is supported by Cosmology Task Force.
  • This parameter populates the relevant subcategory of Category:Cosmology articles by quality based upon the |class= parameter.
• solar_system – set |solar_system=yes if the article is supported by Solar System Task Force.
  • This parameter populates the relevant subcategory of Category:Solar System articles by quality based upon the |class= parameter.
• eclipses – set |eclipses=yes if the article is supported by Eclipses Task Force.
  • This parameter populates the relevant subcategory of Category:Eclipses articles by quality based upon the |class= parameter.
• moon – set |moon=yes if the article is supported by Moon Task Force.
  • This parameter populates the relevant subcategory of Category:Moon articles by quality based upon the |class= parameter.
• mars – set |mars=yes if the article is supported by Mars Task Force.
  • This parameter populates the relevant subcategory of Category:Mars articles by quality based upon the |class= parameter.
• jupiter – set |jupiter=yes if the article is supported by Jupiter Task Force.
  • This parameter populates the relevant subcategory of Category:Jupiter articles by quality based upon the |class= parameter.
• importance – valid values are listed in the custom importance mask. See the project's importance scale for details. Setting an explicit value of NA is rarely necessary; for this, either leave |importance= blank or omit the parameter.
• listas – This parameter, which is the equivalent of the DEFAULTSORT sortkey that should be placed on all biographical articles, is a sortkey for the article talk page (e.g. for Isaac Newton, use |listas=Newton, Isaac so that the talk page will show up in the N's and not the I's of the various assessment and administrative categories). This is important because it is one source used by those who set DEFAULTSORT on the article; consider also setting the DEFAULTSORT for the article when setting this parameter. For more information about this, please see Wikipedia:Categorization of people § Ordering names in a category.
  If the article is using {{WikiProject banner shell}} then it is preferable to add |listas= to that template instead of a project banner template. Putting the parameter on more than one template is not required.
• needs-image – set |needs-image=yes if an appropriate image needs to be added to the page, or the current one needs to be updated.
  • This parameter populates Category:Astronomy articles needing images.
• needs-infobox – set |needs-infobox=yes if the article needs an infobox. Remember that infoboxes are not suitable for all articles, and can overwhelm short articles.
  • This parameter populates Category:Astronomy articles needing infoboxes.
• object – set |object=yes if the article is supported by WikiProject Astronomical objects.
  • This parameter populates Category:Pages within the scope of WikiProject Astronomical objects (WP Astronomy Banner), and the relevant subcategory of Category:Astronomical objects articles by quality based upon the |class= parameter.
• category – set |category=no if, and only if, a banner is being used for demonstration or testing purposes, to prevent unnecessary or undesirable categorization. Otherwise, omit this parameter.

Edit the talk page, change the class= and importance= parameters to the appropriate ratings or add |class= and |importance=, if not already present and save the page.
