- Before being closed, a Level 5 proposal must:
- Run for at least 15 days; AND
- Allow at least 7 days after the most recent vote; AND
- For nominations made after 13:36, September 26, 2025, closure is acceptable 7 days after most recent vote that established a consensus to implement or fail (see below) or the most recent subsequent vote against this consensus.
- Have at least 4 participants if nominated before 20:53, 20 May 2025 (UTC).
- For a proposal to be implemented on the Level 5 list:
- It must have over 60% support (see table); AND
- It must have at least 4 support votes !votes.
- For a proposal to failed:
- It must not have over 60% support (see table); AND
- If nominated after 20:53, 20 May 2025 (UTC), it must have at least 2 oppose votes !votes.
- For proposed additions, the nominator should list (and possibly link to) at least one potential section in the level 5 vital articles list for the article to be added to. Supporters can also help in this regard.

- 15 days ago is: 06:19, 17 April 2026 (UTC)
- 7 days ago is: 06:19, 25 April 2026 (UTC)
