This regional WikiProject user template creates a userbox that indicates that you actively participate in WikiProject New York State.
To join WikiProject New York State, add your username to Wikipedia:WikiProject New York (state)#Members.

Use

If you place the Wikitext {{User WP New York State}} on your user page, this template will display the following userbox:

WikiProject
New York State.

If you place the Wikitext {{User WP New York State|invite}} on your user page, this template will display the following userbox:

File:Flag of New York.svgThis user invites you to join
WikiProject
New York State.

Either of these will add your user page to the following two categories:

• Category:WikiProject New York (state) participants
• Category:Wikipedians interested in New York (state)

A nocat=true parameter may be used to inhibit the declaration of these categories.
