Use

To use this userbox template, place the following Wikitext on your user page:

where:

year is the optional 4-digit year number of the user's first encounter with severe combat trauma.
month is the optional month number of the user's first encounter with severe combat trauma. (default=1)
year is the optional day of month number of the user's first encounter with severe combat trauma. (default=1)
nocat= the optional category parameter:
- nocat=false — Include the user page in Category:Military veteran Wikipedians. (default)
- nocat=true — Do not declare a category.
