- Use a full descriptive name
- Images
- The preferred formats are .PNG and .SVG
- The preferred image width is 280px
- Image backgrounds should be transparent
- Images and content
- Current versions of logos are inherently related to the organization and do not need commentary
- Historical logos or logos for one-time events must have related content

Usage
[edit source]|notice=text for the header notice|commonscat=category for related content on Commons|cat=parameter for {{Non-free Scout logo}} to include category|cat2=set to yes if the category is secondary and is not set with {{Non-free Scout logo}}|subcat=set to yes to add<categorytree>and TOC; use for categories with multiple pages or subcategories
