Template:SPI case status/doc

Usage

This template is a general-purpose template for Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations, which is intended to replace the old RFCU and SPIclose templates as well as formally deprecate the old "code letter" system of CheckUser requests.

The template takes only one parameter, which is optional. Details are given below.

When a status parameter is placed as shown above, it will display the following:

Parameter	Adds to category	Returns
none or new	Category:New SPI cases	– This SPI case is new and awaits sorting.
open	Category:SPI cases awaiting review	– This SPI case is open.
CU or checkuser or CUrequest or request	Category:SPI cases for pre-CheckUser review	– A user has requested CheckUser. An SPI clerk will shortly look at the case and endorse or decline the request.
clerk	Category:SPI cases needing a Clerk	– Clerk assistance is requested in the case below.
admin or administrator	Category:SPI cases needing an Administrator	Error creating thumbnail: – An SPI clerk has requested administrator assistance for action regarding the case below. The requested action is below.
decline or declined	Category:SPI cases declined for checkuser by clerk	File:Symbol unsupport2 vote.svg – An SPI clerk has declined a request for CheckUser, and the case is now awaiting a behavioural investigation.
CUdecline or CUdeclined	Category:SPI cases declined for checkuser by CU	File:Symbol oppose vote.svg – A checkuser has declined a request for CheckUser, and the case is now awaiting a behavioural investigation.
hold	Category:SPI cases on hold by clerk	Error creating thumbnail: – An administrator or SPI clerk has placed this case on hold pending further information or developments.
cuhold	Category:SPI cases on hold by checkuser	Error creating thumbnail: – A checkuser has placed this case on hold pending further information or developments.
moreinfo	Category:SPI cases requesting more information	Error creating thumbnail: – An administrator or SPI clerk requires more information to determine what action to take.
cumoreinfo	Category:SPI cases requesting more information	Error creating thumbnail: – A user has requested CheckUser, but more information is required before deciding whether to check.
endorse or endorsed	Category:SPI cases waiting for a CheckUser	File:Symbol support2 vote.svg – An SPI clerk has endorsed a request for CheckUser. A checkuser will shortly review the case.
cuendorse or cuendorsed	Category:SPI cases waiting for a CheckUser	File:Symbol support2 vote.svg – A checkuser has endorsed a request for CheckUser. A checkuser will shortly review the case.
inprogress or checking	Category:SPI cases currently being checked	File:Crystal Clear app clock-orange.svg – A checkuser is in the process of checking relevant users.
checked or completed	Category:SPI cases CU complete	File:Symbol redirect vote.svg – A checkuser has completed a check on relevant users in this case, and it is now awaiting administration and close.
relist or relisted	Category:SPI cases relisted for a CheckUser	File:Symbol move vote.svg – An SPI clerk has relisted this case for a checkuser to make another check.
close or closed	Category:SPI cases awaiting archive	File:Symbol comment vote.svg – This SPI case is closed and will be archived shortly by an SPI clerk or checkuser.

Category suppression

Categorization will be suppressed if this template is transcluded on any Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/SPI page or subpage or any page that is not a subpage.

Template suppression

While SPI clerks are encouraged to remove this template before moving a case into an SPI case's /Archive page, this template, including any categorization, will be suppressed if used on an /Archive page.
