Template:Rlw team/doc
A convenience template to add links to women's rugby league teams.
The template can also be used to display an abbreviated link to the team and display a matching icon without needing to also use {{League icon}}. Whereas the league icon template displays only the icon, with this template there is no ambiguity over which team is represented. See the documentation of that template for information on appropriate usage of such icons.
Usage
[edit source]{{Rlw team |KEYWORD |abbr |icon |size }}
To display a link to a team requires only one parameter {{Rlw team|keyword}}. Replace keyword with one from the list of supported teams. Optional parameters are used to display a shorter link and/or an icon.
Parameters
[edit source]Required
[edit source]|1=— Keyword for team, note this is case sensitive
Optional
[edit source]|abbr=— displays abbreviated version of team name. Intended for use where it is not desirable to display the full name, but using only an icon could be ambiguous.|icon=— set toicon=loricon=rto display an icon to the left or right of the team name|size=— icon size (just a number without px), this will default to 16px if not specified
Examples
[edit source]{{Rlw team|brisbane}}→ Brisbane Broncos{{Rlw team|cronulla|abbr=y}}→ CRO{{Rlw team|canberra|icon=l}}→ File:Canberra colours.svg Canberra Raiders{{Rlw team|nsw|icon=r|abbr=y}}→ NSW File:New South Wales colours.svg{{Rlw team|hull kr|icon=l|size=20}}→ File:HKRcolours.svg Hull Kingston Rovers
Errors
[edit source]If the keyword is missing or incorrect the template will display an error message:
{{Rlw team|icon=l}}→ Error: Please provide a team name.{{Rlw team|warriors}}→ Error: Please specify new zealand or wigan.
List of supported teams

Notes
[edit source]- Rows in grey indicate that the template is not needed for linking to these teams. These are included for the convenience of use with the optional parameters.
- A dagger (†) marks teams such as York Valkyrie that do not require a piped link to change the displayed link.
- A double dagger (‡) indicates there is no article, or section of an article, for a link. Examples include:
- Several NSWRL and QRL teams, where the article covers the men's team only and there is no mention of the women's team.
- Coventry Bears, where the article redirects to Midlands Hurricanes.
- Note that the template can be adjusted as article coverage of teams develops. When a section about the women's team is added to a club article a link can be added to the template, and when a separate article is created for the women's team the template can changed to link there instead.
Updates
[edit source]- To add a team to the template the name should be added to {{Rlw team/name}} and the icon should be added to {{Rlw team/icon}} using the same keyword for both, copying the existing format carefully.
