Template:Rfap/doc

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Jump to navigation Jump to search

This template is used to close a request for adminship (RfA) that has succeeded. In general for RfA's, it should only be used by bureaucrats, as only bureaucrats have the technical ability to grant administrative permissions. See also Wikipedia:Bureaucrats#Promotions and RfX closures.

For Administrator elections (AELECT/ADE) : use {{subst:rfap|aelect=yes}}. Once the latest results are certified by scrutineers, any editor can subsequently help update candidacy pages (as they are not actually closing the election) using this template. Successful candidates will receive administrator rights by a separate bulk request by Bureaucrats.

Usage

Place the {{subst:Rfap}} template at the very top of the RfA page, and then place {{subst:Rfab}} at the bottom of the RfA page.

IMPORTANT: You must use {{subst:rfap}} and {{subst:rfab}} templates in concert with the {{subst:finaltally}} template.

Administrator elections

If being used on an administrator election nomination page, use: {{subst:rfap|aelect=yes}}
