Parameters

[edit source]
engine_type
The type of engine, e.g.: Air-cooled rotary, High-bypass turbofan
national_origin
The country where the engine was first manufactured. Use the main nation (e.g. UK), not constituent country (England); don't use "EU". List collaborative programs of only two or three nations; for more than three, use "Multi-national". For a licensed engine with a separate article, include both the originating country and the licensee country for simple variants and developments. The originating country may be omitted if it is a derivative design.
manufacturer
The firm which manufactured (designed and built) the engine.
designer
The person or persons who designed the engine. Only appropriate for single designers, not project leaders.
design_group
The design group(s) that designed the engine. Do not list if same as the manufacturer.
builder
The group that only builds the engine, but is not responsible for design of the engine.
first_run
The date that the engine was first run. If this hasn't happened, skip this field – don't speculate.
major_applications
aircraft (or other vehicles) that were powered by this engine
status
produced
Years in production (e.g. 1970–1999) if still in active use but no longer built
number_built
developed_from
The engine which formed the basis for this engine
variants_with_their_own_articles
Variants of this engine
developed_into
Engines which were developed based off this engine
