[edit source]Judicial opinions or other documents created by U.S. federal judges are considered "edicts of government" and not copyrightable under U.S. copyright law.
Usage
[edit source]This template should be placed in the references section, if the article incorporates text from a document created by the federal judiciary of the United States. It will add appropriate categories to the page, and provides a message for proper attribution.
Example
[edit source]In the code of the references section, insert {{Include-FedCourts}} immediately above or below the {{reflist}} or <reflist> reference. For example:
Per Justice Stevens, "the question presented is whether the city’s proposed disposition of this property qualifies as a “public use” within the meaning of the Takings Clause of the Fifth Amendment to the Constitution."<ref name="citation">{{ussc |name=Kelo v.
