Purpose
[edit source]To present the symbol DNV uses to classify some ships.
Usage

As of 2011, the ship is [[classification society|classified]] by [[DNV]] with the code "{{Template:DNV-class-supervised-construction}}1A1 General Cargo Carrier Container E0", meaning...
produces the following output
As of 2011, the ship is classified by DNV with the code "Symbol used by Det Norske Veritas for ships constructed under the supervision of a recognized classification society.1A1 General Cargo Carrier Container E0", meaning...
Unicode problem
[edit source]A unicode combination such as ✥̊ should eventually be able to display this symbol. At time of writing, it displays incorrectly on many browsers. (See this discussion).
