This template may be used to place a banner on an article containing problematic translated content. The bottom half of the banner contains instructions how to list the article at WP:Pages needing translation into English.

Parameters

There are two positional (unnamed) parameters, and four named parameters:

|1= – name of language (required)
|2= – replaces the word "article"; e.g. use value section for use in a section. (optional; default: article)
|listed= – set to yes to suppress displaying the instructions to list the article at WP:PNT (optional; default: no)
|category= – set to no to suppress § categorization of the article (optional; default: article is categorized)
|type= – the value check alters the category the article is placed into
to be checked – use category Category:Wikipedia articles to be checked after translation
checked – use category Category:Wikipedia articles needing cleanup after translation, and also adds the expression, "contains translated text and the factual accuracy of the translation should be checked" to the banner
|date= – month and year; if omitted, a bot will supply it later. (optional; default: July 2026, if used today)

Categorisation

{{Cleanup translation}} categorises tagged articles into Category:Wikipedia articles needing cleanup after translation or Category:Wikipedia articles to be checked after translation, depending on the value of param type.
