Purpose
[edit source]This template facilitates the citation of articles from The Cyclopædia of American Biography of 1918. It uses {{cite encyclopedia}} in its implementation. It provides for links to the Wikisource project The Cyclopædia of American Biography, but also links to other sources (for example Google Books), or no link at all can be used.
Usage

or with a specification of the optional title, display, url, page, pages, oclc, noicon, long or vb parameters (see examples).

Using vb
[edit source]If text is incorporated verbatim into an article, the vb parameter can be used to tack on a notice appropriate to the policy in Wikipedia:Plagiarism.
