This template is used to conveniently link into the Algebraic notation (chess) article. For example,
{{chessAN|1–0}}links the same as[[Algebraic notation (chess)#1–0|1–0]]
where 1–0 and similar are section name anchors, currently: e.p., 0-0, 0-0-0, +, ++, #, 1–0, 0–1, ½–½, ½–0, 0–½, 0–0, and (=).
Notes:
- Symbol "(=)" means draw offer. For symbol "=" meaning equal chances, use template
{{chesspunc}}instead. - As a temporary workaround to pass the "=" character, enclose in curly brackets. For example,
{{chessAN|({{=}})}}
