This is a helper template for {{Certification Table Entry}}, see the meaning of all parameters there. The parameters used are:
|footnote=: Overrides all parameters and sets the footnote directly. Can besales/shipments/streaming/streamsonly
The rest of the parameters are:
|region=|type=(which can bealbum/single/video/jazz/compilation/videosingle/ringtone/EP)|certyear=,|certmonth=,|certday=|relyear=,|relmonth=,|relday=|Spanish=|digital=|streamsonly=
It returns the correct footnote symbol that specificity if this is a sales threshold, a shipments threshold, a streaming/sales threshold, based on this list.
The symbols used are:
