Template:Article or page/doc
| This is a documentation subpage for Template:Article or page. It may contain usage information, categories and other content that is not part of the original template page. |
| This template is used on approximately 6,600 pages and changes may be widely noticed. Test changes in the template's /sandbox or /testcases subpages, or in your own user subpage. Consider discussing changes on the talk page before implementing them. |
This template outputs either "article" or "page" based on whether a given quality assessment applies to an article or a page. It is mainly used within category header templates (for instance, {{WP 20th Century Studios quality and importance cat}}).
The default output is "article" to easily handle non-standard quality assessments.
Because it is easier to pluralize "article" and "page" than de-pluralize "articles" and "pages", the output of this template is singular. If the plural form is desired, you can add an s directly after the template, such as {{Article or page|Foo}}s.
