Template:45th Canada Senate standings change/doc

Usage

This template displays a chronological log of changes in the Senate group standings during the 45th Canadian Parliament. It is a full table maintained directly within the template page and is not designed to be transcluded with parameters.

Structure

The template defines a full wikitable with:

• Sticky headers enabled for both the caption and column labels.
• A sortable layout for easier tracking over time.
• Each data row includes:
  • The date of the standings change
  • Counts for each Senate group: ISG, CSG, PSG, CPC
  • Totals for Non-affiliated, Vacant, and overall seat count

The template is static and requires direct manual editing to update the standings.

Editing instructions

To update the template:

• Insert new changes as rows at the bottom, in chronological order.
• Ensure all columns are filled and styled to match existing entries.
• Group colours use {{Canadian party colour|CA|...}}, which must match the canonical names for each group exactly.

Do not invoke this template using parameters. It is a manually-maintained table, not a dynamic row-generating template.
