Television Pool of Thailand Association

[edit | edit source]

On February 21, 2025, the Board of Directors of the Television Pool of Thailand resolved to change the status of the Television Pool of Thailand from a group of persons to a juristic person in the form of an association by registering the association name as the Television Pool of Thailand Association (Thai: สมาคมโทรทัศน์รวมการเฉพาะกิจแห่งประเทศไทย). The association's committee is mainly composed of executives and representatives from all 4 television stations: the CEO of Channel 5 HD as the president of the association, executives of Channel 7HD, executives of Channel 3 HD, and executives of Channel 9 MCOT HD as the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd vice presidents respectively, a representative of Channel 5 HD as the registrar and legal department, a representative of Channel 3 HD as the hostess, a representative of Channel 7HD as the public relations, a representative of Channel 9 MCOT HD as the treasurer, and another representative of Channel 5 HD as the secretary.[4] Currently, we are waiting for the Flag Committee under the Prime Minister's Office to allow the display of the Thai national flag stripes on the association's emblem, which is the same as the original TPT in all respects, and to proceed with the registration of the association with the Department of Provincial Administration as the association registrar for Bangkok in full.
