The Sustainable Development Education Center (traditional Chinese: 永續環境教育中心; simplified Chinese: 永续环境教育中心; pinyin: Yǒngxù Huánjìng Jiàoyù Zhōngxīn) is an educational center in Bali District, New Taipei, Taiwan.
History
[edit | edit source]The organization of the center was created in March 2007. Since its opening in 2008, the center has hosted numerous educational initiatives, including guided tours, interactive exhibits, and sustainability workshops aimed at promoting environmental awareness. In recent years, it has expanded its outreach programs, collaborating with local schools and environmental organizations to foster a deeper understanding of wetland conservation and climate change.
Architecture
[edit | edit source]The education center is a wonderfully constructed building that consists of an information desk, exhibition area and multipurpose classrooms educating on wetland management and the effects of global warming. It also has a viewing tower overlooking the beautiful Tamsui River.[1][2]
