Supreme Nuclear Committee of Iran

The Supreme Nuclear Committee is a committee in Iran whose main task is to guide and create greater coordination on Nuclear program of Iran.[1] This committee officially began its work with a notification on June 10, 2003, and its weekly meetings were held at the secretariat of the Supreme National Security Council.[1][2][3]
Members
[edit | edit source]The initial members of this committee, who were selected by the Leader and the President, were:[1]
- * Mohammad Khatami (president at the time)
- * Ali Akbar Velayati (international advisor to the leader)
- * Ali Younesi (former minister of intelligence)
- * Kamal Kharazi (former minister of foreign affairs)
- * Ali Shamkhani (secretary of the Supreme National Security Council)
- * Gholam Reza Aghazadeh (former head of the Atomic Energy Organization)
- * Ali Hosseini Tash (strategic deputy of the Supreme National Security Council)
- * Ali Larijani (former speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly)
