Stephanie Driver is a British political aide. She served as Downing Street Director of Communications in the Starmer ministry.
Biography
[edit | edit source]Driver is a long-serving aide.[1] She previously worked at the Fabian Society.[2] She worked for the Speaker of the House of Commons Lindsay Hoyle before joining Starmer's office in 2021.[3] She was brought in following the May 2021 British shadow cabinet reshuffle.[4] She served as press secretary when he was Leader of the Opposition.[5]
After the 2024 United Kingdom general election, she was appointed deputy communications director.[6] In March 2025, she replaced Matthew Doyle as Downing Street Director of Communications.[7] She resigned on 25 September 2025.[8]
