Sean Kaufman (born 1999 or 2000) is an American actor. He is best known for his breakout role as Steven Conklin in the Amazon Prime Video coming-of-age romance series The Summer I Turned Pretty (2022–2025).[1]

Biography

Kaufman was born and raised in New York City. He is of Japanese descent and has a younger sister, Abby.[2][3] He attended Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School.[4] He later studied at Purchase College's Acting Conservatory, but dropped out during his junior year to film the first season of The Summer I Turned Pretty.[2][5] After production wrapped, he resumed his studies and graduated with a BFA in Acting in 2022.[6]

As of 2025, he is dating his The Summer I Turned Pretty co-star Minnie Mills.[7]
