Rataban a Himalayan mountain peak situated in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand, India.[1] The altitude of the summit is 6,166 metres (20,230 ft).

The climbing of the mountain is the subject of a 2013 thriller novel, The Rataban Betrayal by Indian-born author Stephen Alter.
