Preble is an unincorporated community in Preble Township, Adams County, in the U.S. state of Indiana.[1] It is approximately 4 miles west of Decatur, Indiana.
History
[edit | edit source]A post office was established in Preble in 1883.[3] The community was named after Preble Township.[4]
Sites
[edit | edit source]Preble currently includes a post office, a volunteer fire department, a granary, and an outdoor arena.
Demographics
[edit | edit source]The United States Census Bureau defined Preble as a census designated place in the 2022 American Community Survey.[5]
