Praeteropus gowi, also known commonly as Gow's burrowing skink and the speckled worm-skink, is a species of lizard in the family Scincidae. The species is endemic to Queensland in Australia.[2]
Etymology
[edit | edit source]The specific name, gowi, is in honor of Australian herpetologist Graeme Francis Gow.[3]
Habitat
[edit | edit source]The preferred natural habitats of P. gowi are forest and shrubland.[1]
Description
[edit | edit source]P. gowi is limbless. It has scaly, movable eyelids. It does not have external ear openings.[2]
