Pont-Scorff (French pronunciation: [pɔ̃ skɔʁf]; Breton: Pont-Skorf) is a commune in the Morbihan department of Brittany in north-western France.[2] It takes its name from the river Scorff, which flows through the town.
Geography
[edit | edit source]The town lies in the valley of the river Scorff. Historically, it belongs to Vannetais. The town is located 10 km (6.2 mi) north of Lorient.

Inhabitants of Pont-Scorff are called in French Scorvipontains or Scorffipontais.
Breton language
[edit | edit source]The municipality launched a linguistic plan through Ya d'ar brezhoneg on 22 February 2008.
In 2008, 8.74% of children attended the bilingual schools in primary education.[4]
