Nipun Roy Chowdhury (born; 29 October 1987) is a Bangladeshi lawyer and politician. She serves as the general secretary of the Dhaka District branch of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) and is a member of BNP's executive committee. She is the daughter of Nitai Roy Chowdhury, BNP vice chairman and former minister.[1]

Early life

She comes from a politically active family and is married into one as well, which has kept her directly involved in politics. A former student of Eden Women's College, Nipun Roy has been politically active since her student days. She is the daughter of BNP vice chairman and former minister advocate Nitai Roy Chowdhury and the daughter-in-law of BNP National Standing Committee member Gayeshwar Chandra Roy.[2]

Career

Nipun is the general secretary of the Dhaka District BNP, a member of the BNP executive committee, and the secretary of the Women and Children's Rights Forum. She is also the president of the South Keraniganj branch of BNP.
