WikiCup

The 10th annual WikiCup starts this month! The WikiCup is a competition in which points are awarded based on editing achievements like improving an article to Featured Article status, getting a Did You Know on the Main Page, or performing a Good Article review. The first round runs through the end of February, so it's not too late to sign up!

This year, as part of the Year of Science, special prizes will be awarded at the end of the contest for the most science-related contributions.

For more information, see Wikipedia:WikiCup.

STEM Basics Contest

In the month of May, you're invited to participate in the STEM Basics Contest. In many topic areas, it's common for the most fundamental, general concepts to be neglected while more specific niche topics are improved to the higher levels of quality. This contest is intended to improve articles about basic STEM subjects. At the end of four weeks, the best work will be reviewed by academic experts and then judged by experienced Wikipedia editors.
