In the News! The ISS has been continuously occupied for the last 20 years! Expedition 1 arrived on 2 November 2000 with the first long-term residents. That’s longer then Wikipedia has existed. Crew-1 successfully launched from LC-39A on 16th November 2020, at 00:11:15 (UTC). Later, on 17th November 2020, 04:00 (UTC) Michael S. Hopkins, Victor J. Glover, Soichi Noguchi and Shannon Walker joined Expedition 64 and the crew of MS-17 on the ISS. Arianespace had a launch failure after liftoff of its Vega rocket on the 17th November. Two satellites were lost due to an integration error of the fourth stage.
Article of the month. Apollo 12 File:Surveyor 3-Apollo 12.jpg Apollo 12 was the sixth crewed flight in the United States Apollo program and the second to land on the Moon. It was launched on November 14, 1969, from the Kennedy Space Center, Florida, four months after Apollo 11. Commander Charles "Pete" Conrad and Apollo Lunar Module Pilot Alan L. Bean performed just over one day and seven hours of lunar surface activity while Command Module Pilot Richard F. Gordon remained in lunar orbit. The landing site for the mission was located in the southeastern portion of the Ocean of Storms.	Image of the month. File:STS-97 ISS.jpg This is an image of the ISS from December 9, 2000. Almost 20 years ago, this image is one of a series of 70mm frames taken onboard Space Shuttle Endeavour. With the ISS being continuously occupied for the last 20 years, this shows how the space station has developed over the years.
