Welcome to Adopt-An-Article. Here you will find many articles that have issues that need addressing and it is up to you to take them on and make them great.

The scope of this department is to take a stub class and start rated articles and elevate them to FA class.

There are many things a person can do when adopting an article:

  1. Pick an article to adopt. (Note: Other edits by Wikipedia members will still happen.)
  2. Once you have picked an article, read through it.
  3. Re-write the article if need be. (Note: If the article doesn't need to be re-written, than skip this step.)
  4. Expand the article if possible. Use Google or another search engine to find information on the article you have adopted.
  5. Format the article. ex: add categories, citations, pictures, stats, etc.
  6. Put the appropriate banners in talk pages.
  7. Once an article has been sufficiently re-vamped, please remove it from the list below.
  8. Finally, if you would like request an assessment, than you can do so here.
