I was wondering if someone could help me locate the following article: “Opportunity and response: case studies in economic development”, by T.S. Epstein and D.H. Penny (1972). In particular I am looking for the article by Diane Barwick.
I am writing Draft:Ellen Atkinson. Apparently the article text is indexed in Agricola... unfortunately the State Library of NSW is closed due to Coronavirus measures.

For Nine Funerals of the Citizen King.
I'm looking for information on the song "Nine Funerals of the Citizen King", which the above Google Book snippet shows starts on page 144, and possibly continues onto page 145. Note that the book incorrectly titles the song "Nine Funerals for the Citizen King". There is also a 2010 edition of the book here, but I can't see what page the song is discussed on. Any edition will do.

For potential article on Janina Oyrzanowska-Poplewska. Attempting to gather sources. This one appears to be critical, as has a full biography, from what I can see in the "snippet". As an alternative, or possibly if I am really lucky, additional source, perhaps a journal which is distributed via libraries in the UK and the US would be easier to locate:

- @Valereee: I'm afraid most Leeds IMC papers are never transcribed, let alone published, and this seems to be one such. I've searched the usual places with no luck. Barnwell is on LinkedIn though, so you could contact him there. Would receiving a public paper privately be in adherence with V? Also, Barnwell didn't just present a paper about Kismet Press to the conference, as the article notes; he is the Press' co-founder. serial # 11:14, 13 May 2020 (UTC)
- Serial Number 54129, thanks! Yes, I actually went to LinkedIn to try to message him (no joy, I don't have a premium account), and realized he's the co-founder, so the paper wouldn't help with proving notability. :) I'd still like to find a copy just for possible help in digging out other leads. I have no idea about whether information in such a paper would be considered verifiable...lol, they should publish it. :D I've used the contact info on the press' website to ask if they know of anything that's been published about them. How are academics not writing about this press? Are there that many similar projects? —valereee (talk) 11:44, 13 May 2020 (UTC)
- @Valereee: I dunno, it's very new and hasn't made an impact (yet). I suspect that until they become large or long lasting, they're just the mechanics that make other things notable. A painting, for example, can be notable, but it's unlikely that the canvas, frame or paints used would attain the same notability. So a small publisher, in producing notable books by notable authors, is in the same position as the maker of the stretched canvas a notable artist paints a muscle picture on. If you see what I'm thinking? I'm avoiding the AfD, by the way :) serial # 15:34, 13 May 2020 (UTC)
- I heard back from Tim Barnwell, who is delightful and who provided his notes, said he doubted the press currently met the criteria and that if the article was deleted he'd 'take it stoically.' :D —valereee (talk) 15:48, 13 May 2020 (UTC)
- Serial Number 54129, why avoiding? Not that it's important, just curious. Don't tell me you have a COI? —valereee (talk) —valereee (talk) 15:53, 13 May 2020 (UTC)

- Looking for the article or letter containing the following text by David Lloyd George "That part of the world is a cauldron of conflicting intrigue and one or other interests concerned probably knew that Mr Gareth Jones knew too much of what was going on. He had a passion for finding out what was happening in foreign lands wherever there was trouble, and in pursuit of his investigations he shrank from no risk. I had always been afraid that he would take one risk too many. Nothing escaped his observation, and he allowed no obstacle to turn from his course when he thought that there was some fact, which he could obtain. He had the almost unfailing knack of getting at things that mattered"

For In the Aeroplane Over the Sea. Unfortunately I don't know what issue these reviews come from (or if those reviews even exist). The editors who added these reviews to the article most likely got them from this site. Fortunately there are page numbers in the references, so at least there is that.

Theatre plays about La Fayette
[edit source]I would like to ask if somebody were able to get scans of the following publications of theatre plays which I would like to add to the English Wikisource:
- La Fayette, Or The Castle Of Olmutz (1824, author Samuel Woodworth, https://www.worldcat.org/oclc/765803602 )
- La Fayette; Or The Fortress Of Olmutz (1824, author Walter Lee, https://www.worldcat.org/oclc/6768786 )
The transcription of the first book is already available, but it is only a transcription and it contains some mistakes (e. g. the table of characters and actors is quite confused), while for the Wikisource purposes it is always better to have scans of the original publication.
The second publication cannot be found online at all.

I tried every trick I know to get it yesterday (zap cookies, different browser, different device, reload while in page source mode etc) with no luck. Anyway, I've struck those two, that leaves only 774. Thanks again, Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 15:28, 10 May 2020 (UTC)

Material for Scipio Asina
[edit source]- journal article: M. Gwyn Morgan, "Q. Metellus (cos. 206), dictatorii in the pre-Sullan senate, and the end of the dictatorship", in Athenaeum, 79 (1991), pp. 359-370.
- journal article: Daniel J. Gargola, "The colonial commissioners of 218 BC and the foundation of Cremona and Placentia", in Athenaeum, 78 (1990), pp. 465-473.
I couldn't find an OCLC for these articles, the ISSN of the journal is ISSN: 0004-6574. Website is here.
- book: Erich Burck, Einführung in die dritte Dekade des Livius, Heidelberg, Kerle, 1950. OCLC: 17434475
I don't really know the pages, so I need someone to scan the index of names so I can give the page numbers I need.

For the article Actors of the Comédie-Française and future drafts on Love in the French Theater and Love in the Italian Theater, I have to request #1 once again, including page 110, as I previously forgot to save it onto my Google Drive (that was my fault).
#2 would be needed for my sandbox on La Boudeuse, as well as the extant article in the Russian Wikipedia. Unfortunately, the book that is uploaded by that name to the Internet Archive is not actually what I request, but is Mexican Standoff, a detective novel by Bruce Alexander Cook.
#3 would be needed for my another sandbox, on Polish Woman from the National Museum in Warsaw.
As I'm aware of restrictions related to the ongoing pandemic, I understand I have to wait for some time until the request would be done.
Thanks for any response. From Russia with love, Gleb95 (talk) 14:16, 21 May 2020 (UTC).
@Gleb95: #2 is available to borrow at the Internet Archive here (free registration required). —Bruce1eetalk 14:45, 21 May 2020 (UTC)- Sorry, as you said above, that's not the book you want. —Bruce1eetalk 14:49, 21 May 2020 (UTC)
- I've emailled the Internet Archive about the Mexican Standoff confusion. --MrLinkinPark333 (talk) 22:49, 21 May 2020 (UTC)
