10 step guide to creating at least a B-Class denomination article

Type a title:
and click "Create page"

  1. Create a new page.
  2. Create an outline for the denomination article you started:
    • Include {{Infobox religion}} at the top. See that template's page for guidance on available parameters, but only include those that are relevant. You can include links to keywords, e.g. locations such as [[North America]].
    • If the article already exists (presumably as a Stub or Start class article), put the tag specified above at the head of the article to give you your outline
  3. Type in some content for your article. It's generally better to edit one section at a time, as this reduces the chance of edit conflicts (i.e. two people making different changes at the same time).
  4. Populate your article with images such as obtained from Wikimedia Commons, image list, or by posting a request for an image from other Wikipedians, or by getting your own from public domain or, if necessary, fair use sources
  5. Add the appropriate categories
    • Since categories at the bottom of the other Wikipedia articles linked in your article may be appropriate to place in your article, go through each link in your article and review the categories at the bottom of the linked article for inclusion in your article
  6. Confirm that the internal links, footnotes, and external (non-wiki) links in your article go where you want them to go.
  7. For each broken (red) link in your article:
    1. Post an article request at Wikipedia:WikiProject Reformed Christianity/Requested articles (if appropriate) or Wikipedia:Requested articles
    2. OR remove the double brackets around the broken link (these are your only choices)
  8. Publicize your article by ...
  9. Nominate your article to be featured; see "Collaborations" section below for details, but ONLY after you believe that you completed all the above steps.
  10. Relax! and take a break if you reached this point. But not too much. We are Calvinists, you know :-)
