Welcome to Operation Victory ("OPV"), the code name for a long-term collaboration that will improve Wikipedia's coverage of all British Naval Service articles- including Royal Navy, Royal Fleet Auxiliary, Royal Marines and Royal Maritime Auxiliary Service related topics. If you would like to participate, please add your name to the list of contributors, and feel free to follow our Twitter page. There are ---- articles which will be included in this project, from frigates to 42 Commando and everything in between. The final aim of this project is to ensure that all articles within our set scope, achieve at least a C-class rating.


Phase I
The ships of the Naval Service: all vessels, along with their class articles.
Phase II
Aicraft and weapons: all aircraft and weapon system, vehicles, and other equipment utilised by the Naval Service personnel.
Phase III
Units: all units, formations, shore establishments, Naval Bases, and Royal Naval Air Stations.
Phase IV
Personnel: all notable personnel.
Phase V
Miscellaneous: anything not immediately covered by the previous phases.

Any article within the scope of Op Victory should be marked by adding OPV=# to the {{WPMILHIST}} project banner at the top of its talk page (where "#" corresponds to the phase number; see the project banner instructions for more details on the exact syntax). This will automatically place it into Category:Operation Victory articles and allow automated progress measuring.
