Assess articles for class or importance. This creates a clearer picture of the project's current state and a better navigation system. Currently, there is only a large backlog of articles unnassessed for importance.
Nearly a third of articles under WikiProject Haiti are tagged for cleanup. They can be found in a bot-generated cleanup listing. Some tasks are simpler, such as adding categories or fixing citation formatting, while others may be more involved, such as expanding sections or replacing unreliable sources.
Add a requested photograph to help illustrate an article. Even if you are not in Haiti, you may be able to find photos with free liscences or in the public domain in books, newspapers, or image archives. For your own enjoyment, you may also cook and photograph a traditional dish!
In many cases, it may be easier to entirely redevelop an article, especially if they have multiple issues. There are over three thousand Stub-Class, Start-Class, or C-Class articles to choose from. Find books, academic journals, newspapers, or other reliable sources and expand the article by summarizing, paraphrasing, and citing them. Even creating a "Further reading" section or listing potential sources on the article talk page will help future editors. For help with sourcing, reach out to the WikiProject talk page.
For larger impact, improve a popular, top-importance, or vital article. These articles are often high-profile and improvements may be widely read.
Create a requested article to increase the breadth of Haiti's coverage on Wikipedia. For each request, multiple independent sources with significant coverage should exist. Post on the WikiProject talk page for help finding sources or general guidance.
