Welcome to WikiProject Geology, a collaboration area and group of editors dedicated to improving Wikipedia's coverage of geology. For more information on WikiProjects in general, please see Wikipedia:WikiProject and the Guide to WikiProjects. Goals The scope of WikiProject Geology is all articles in the Category:Geology. Our particular interests are core Geology concepts and issues related to Geology articles. We acknowledge and are grateful for the efforts of other projects dealing with specific areas of geology, such as Wikipedia:WikiProject Volcanoes, and will focus this project's attention primarily on those articles which do not fall within the scope of any of these related projects. Particular goals: Bring every Geology article as close to Featured Article or Featured List status as possible: Make sure all articles are properly referenced. Maximize compliance with the Wikipedia manual of style. Clean up tagged articles. Organize categories at every level of Category:Geology (see the category tree). Keep the Earth sciences portal in good shape. Keep the WikiProject Geology community active, growing, and well-supported. Discuss the content of Geology articles on Wikipedia and the direction that WikiProject Geology should take (see talk page).
