WikiProject Dams

This would be a project focusing on creation, expansion, cleanup, etc. of the numerous dam articles. Because of the global influence of dams, their importance, uses, types, and sheer number, I was surprised to not find a WikiProject Dams banner on any of their talk pages. Also, each dam article varys a lot in structure and style. There is a lot of work that needs to be done in this part of Wikipedia.

It may also involve the creation of Portal:Dams, though I'm not sure how a portal is set up. Shannon1^{talk contribs} 20:10, 23 May 2009 (UTC)

4. Dc76\^talk 02:12, 8 July 2009 (UTC) First, the topic is a clear niche, not covered by other projects. Second, judging by the page in userspace, much more thought has gone into this proposed project than other running projects have accumulated in years of activity. I look at other projects and I have no clue what the guys there are doing, or if they themselves have a clue. I read this project, and it strikes me how clear and thought-of the things in it are.
