One of the main tasks of the Christian Metal WikiProject is to assess the quality of Wikipedia's Christian Metal articles. The resulting article ratings are used within the project to help in recognising excellent contributions and identifying topics in need of further work.

How to Assess
[edit source]An article's assessment is generated on its talkpage from the class and importance parameters in {{christianmetal}}, the WikiProject's banner. To add the banner, add the following to its talkpage:

To add an assessment, simply fill in the class parameter with the appropriate letters. The following values may be used:
- FA (adds articles to Category:FA-Class Christian Metal articles; should only be used for articles that are currently listed as featured articles)
- A (adds articles to Category:A-Class Christian Metal articles;
- GA (adds articles to Category:GA-Class Christian Metal articles; should only be used for articles that are currently listed as good articles)
- B (adds articles to Category:B-Class Christian Metal articles)
- Start (adds articles to Category:Start-Class Christian Metal articles)
- Stub (adds articles to Category:Stub-Class Christian Metal articles)
To assess the importance, simply fill in the importance parameter with the following values:
- Top (adds articles to Category:Top-importance Christian Metal articles)
- High (adds articles to Category:High-importance Christian Metal articles)
- Mid (adds articles to Category:Mid-importance Christian Metal articles)
- Low (adds articles to Category:Low-importance Christian Metal articles)

Quality scale
[edit source]WikiProject Christian Metal uses the same criteria for grading articles as set out by the Version 1.0 Editorial Team. If you are not sure what class an article falls under, leave a note on the WikiProject's talkpage, and someone will help you out.

| Stub | A very basic description of the topic. Meets none of the Start-Class criteria. | Provides very little meaningful content; may be little more than a dictionary definition.
