Most genus articles lack a genus authority.Most genera have an authority, no doubt some errors lurk.- Merge GLAM/ARKive donated texts into articles about endangered species.
- Over 1,800 project articles as of August 2025 are tagged "Needs image" (for list, check Category:Wikipedia requested images of birds).
Assign project importance to all project articles currently tagged "Unknown" (for list, check Category:Unknown-importance bird articles).All articles are assigned as of August 2025.- List of project articles tagged "Needing attention" (Category:Birds articles needing attention).
- List of project articles tagged "Needing expert attention" (Category:Birds articles needing expert attention).
- Update IUCN status references on all articles with broken links.
- Add synonyms to species' taxobox.
