The December 2013 – January 2014 AfC Backlog Elimination Drive will take place from December 1, 2013 to January 31, 2014. Before joining this elimination drive, please make sure you have read through this entire page. If you have questions about the information on that page an/or unsure about some info, please do not join this drive until you fully understand everything. If you have any questions, please leave a message on this page's talk page, Mdann52 (talk · contribs)'s or Technical 13 (talk · contribs)'s talk page.
How to contribute
[edit source]Before joining this drive and start to review articles, please make sure you have read this page and have no questions. To join this drive, please add your name under to the "Participants" section below after you have reviewed at least one article. All reviews must be completed after 00:00 (UTC) on December 1st, 2013 and before 0:00 (UTC) on Feburary 1st, 2014. Reviews started outside of those parameters do not count.
To find an article to review for creation, go to this page. If you see that an article in the submission page that has previously been declined by another reviewer, you may still review the article for a point.

Scoring
[edit source]- The scoring system is as follows:
- 1 point is earned per review.
- 1 point is earned per re-review on other user's drive pages.
- A bonus point is earned when you decline a submission as a copyright violation (WP:COPYVIO), and the page is then deleted by an admin.
- 2 points are lost when two users fail a user's review. As the review has already earnt one point, this counts as a loss of one point.

Running Total
[edit source]For reviews during the drive to count as a "point", you must log each and every article that you have reviewed below. To log articles, use the following template and include it below the "Totals" section. Please note that when inserting the URL and the article name, remember to leave a space between the two.
Because submissions can be reviewed more than once, when you have completed a review, please provide a link to the "oldid" of the accept or decline edit you made. To find the "oldid" of an article, go to the article/submission's history page (the tab can be found to the right of the "edit" tab). Once there, click on the edit that you made when you passed or failed the article. Copy the URL and place it under your name using the template below.
Then, add the links in the following format -

Reviewing Reviews

To ensure quality remains priority, reviews of reviews will be conducted at random times. If a review is found to be not done properly or done poorly, the review will be deducted 2 points. Any user may review other user's reviews if they wish.

If you fail a review, use: {{AFCDriveQC|{{SUBST:REVISIONUSER}}|F|<OptionalCommentary>}}
Note that the entire third parameter (<OptionalCommentary>) is optional. If a review is failed a third user shall review the same article and either pass or fail the article. If both users fail the review the aformentioned two points will be deducted from the users score. If the secondary reviewer passes the article no points will be deducted.

Hello, WikiProject Articles for creation:
WikiProject AFC is holding a two month long Backlog Elimination Drive!
The goal of this drive is to eliminate the backlog of unreviewed articles. The drive is running from December 1st, 2013 – January 31st, 2014.
Awards will be given out for all reviewers participating in the drive in the form of barnstars at the end of the drive.
There is a backlog of over 500 articles, so start reviewing articles! Visit the drive's page and help out!
