Welcome to the Hanna-Barbera work group of WikiProject Animation. This group was formed to better organize articles on Hanna-Barbera in a spirit of cooperation.
Scope
[edit source]- The project covers all Hanna-Barbera related-articles, prior to being bought by Ted Turner and 1991, and the launch of Cartoon Network in 1992, before absorbed into Warner Bros. Animation in 2001, and spun off into Cartoon Network Studios which was founded in 1994.
- It also covers any Hanna-Barbera television series and films like The Flintstones, The Jetsons, Yogi Bear, Jonny Quest and Scooby-Doo, as well as Cartoon Network series including Dexter's Laboratory, Johnny Bravo, Cow and Chicken, I Am Weasel and The Powerpuff Girls, which were made by Cartoon Network Studios.
- It does not cover any new productions made by Cartoon Network Studios and Warner Bros. Animation, including non-productions like Ed, Edd n Eddy, Courage the Cowardly Dog (however, it includes The Chicken from Outer Space, which was produced by Hanna-Barbera Cartoons.) and the Scooby-Doo series by Warner Bros. Animation prior to its absorption in 2001.
