MyWiki:Reliable sources/Perennial sources/RsnLinks
This template generates a hatnote containing a PrefixIndex fuzzy search for the current subpage (or given string) in the WP:RSN archives; or just a link (fuzzy or exact) without the hatnote.
Usage
{{WP:RSPLinks}}
{{WP:RSPLinks|Some string}}
{{WP:RSPLinks|Some string|hatnote=no}}
Parameters
This template has two parameters, one positional and one named; both are optional:
|1=– string to search for in RSN archives; default: searches for current {{SUBPAGENAME}}.|hatnote=no– returns just the prefixIndex link, without the hatnote; default:yes, return hatnote.|nofuzzy=yes– returns more results, but they might be passing mentions, or unrelated to reliability; see § Notes

Notes
This template uses fuzzy search by default, and includes the term reliable within ten words of the search string or default subpagename. Fuzzy search is a Cirrus search feature based on Elastic search that can do proximity search. Adding reliable to the fuzzy search makes it more likely to find discussions directly connected to reliability, but also returns fewer search results; in information retrieval terms, precision is improved, but recall is worse. You can turn off fuzzy search and just do an exact search (i.e., a double-quoted query) instead, by using parameter |nofuzzy=yes.
For sources likely to return lots of results, doing a fuzzy search will return fewer results and be more likely to focus on discussions about reliability, and return fewer passing mentions. For sources likely to return few results, disabling fuzzy search will help find more discussions that mention the source, but they may not all be about reliability (i.e., better recall, worse precision).
