wikipedia:WikiProject Micronesia/Wake Island work group (edit | talk | history | links | watch | logs)

Only 14 articles and apparently no activity. This seems like another candidate project we don't need. Kumioko (talk) 03:11, 29 June 2011 (UTC)

  • Keep as this isn't a project (it's a work group of a project) and the project should decide which work groups it should and shouldn't have. ···日本穣? · 投稿 · Talk to Nihonjoe · Join WikiProject Japan! 05:01, 29 June 2011 (UTC)
  • Delete as this one-member 2007 'collaboration' never got off the ground. I'm referring this Mfd to WikiProject Micronesia and will be happy to change my view depending on their reaction. (Nihonjoe is wrong is assuming that the project "should decide which work groups it should and shouldn't have" — we don't know if they are even aware of its existence!) --Kleinzach 08:08, 29 June 2011 (UTC)
    • Then tell them about it if you aren't sure. People outside the project shouldn't be deciding for the project what work groups or task forces it can and can not have. That's just absurd. The crusade you and Jj98 is on to destroy any projects or task forces you personally dislike for whatever reason is getting absurd. ···日本穣? · 投稿 · Talk to Nihonjoe · Join WikiProject Japan! 16:17, 29 June 2011 (UTC)
      • Please do me the courtesy of at least reading what I wrote above: "I'm referring this Mfd to WikiProject Micronesia . . . ". --Kleinzach 02:58, 30 June 2011 (UTC)
        • I did read it, and your comment was irrelevant to mine as you were doing it after the fact (and yes, I know you weren't the one who nominated this particular page). It should be up to the project to decide if they want to have a particular sub-page or not, and if they don't want it, they can simply tag it with {{db-g6}} if they don't have an admin in their midst. ···日本穣? · 投稿 · Talk to Nihonjoe · Join WikiProject Japan! 07:35, 2 July 2011 (UTC)
  • Delete per Klein and Kumioko statements above. Sorry Nihon, but the precedent is against you, and we had many of the dead WikiProjects deleted due to lack of activity and overly narrow scope (like WikiProject MythBusters, WikiProject Mercosur, WikiProject Star Wars Music and WikiProject Conan O'Brien which had been deleted due to lack of activty). All the members are inactive, in then some cases, some the of project is noting worth keeping. JJ98 (Talk / Contributions) 10:57, 29 June 2011 (UTC)
    • Again, you didn't nominate a project. This is a work group, and the project should be able to decide if it does or doesn't want the work group. They are the only ones who know how they work they do should be divided up, not some people who are bent on deleting everything they can find which they deem to be not worth saving. ···日本穣? · 投稿 · Talk to Nihonjoe · Join WikiProject Japan! 16:17, 29 June 2011 (UTC)
I inderstand your arguments but weather its a work group or whatever it only has 14 articles in it with very few more that could be added. If the project wants to keep it thats ok. They can come and vote to keep it, im ok with that. I don't think that project itself is particularly active either. --Kumioko (talk) 16:24, 29 June 2011 (UTC)
  • Keep Why are this people deleting pages for projects they have never even helped or participated in?Moxy (talk) 20:45, 29 June 2011 (UTC)
This sub pages should be dealt with by the projects themselves. Projects are free to delete their pages after a deletion discussion. They simply need to talk about it, come to a decision and then apply {{db-xfd|votepage=link to closed deletion discussion}}. See G6. Technical deletions - Uncontroversial maintenance.Moxy (talk) 18:39, 1 July 2011 (UTC)
Non-one on the Micronesia project has posted since September last year. The project is inactive. --Kleinzach 00:34, 5 July 2011 (UTC)
???New member this month - GAs updated 2 months ago - are you sure you realy know whats going on with this projects that you keep tagging and have never been involed with? Again this projects dont need out side management.Moxy (talk) 00:44, 5 July 2011 (UTC)
This is an Mfd. If you object to {{Semi-active}} tags please find somewhere appropriate to talk about it. --Kleinzach 01:05, 5 July 2011 (UTC)
