The result of the discussion was: keep per WP:SNOW. This has many hallmarks of a retaliatory nomination - the discussion referenced by the nominator was eighteen years ago. It hardly seems worth the effort of nominating for deletion after so long; editors are reminded not to disrupt Wikipedia to make a point. Ivanvector (Talk/Edits) 12:32, 4 July 2025 (UTC)
Per WP:UP#GOALS: "Writings, information not closely related to Wikipedia's goals." The information was removed/rejected from the Herbert Dingle article. Discussion of it here. It seems like it was done to circumvent community consensus regarding the addition of the content to Wikipedia by placing it on their User page. TurboSuperA+(connect) 07:36, 2 July 2025 (UTC)
- Oppose. I placed the content here for three reasons: (1) to practice math writing on Wikipedia and hone it to perfection, (2) to have it as a reminder for myself, and (3) to show the community what I am interested in. There was no motivation to circumvent any rules about community consensus regarding addition of content to the project. - DVdm (talk) 08:25, 2 July 2025 (UTC)
- Keep The user page is fine. There might be a case for deletion if it was ten pages of high-intensity fringe, but it is short and shows the editor's interest and view. Johnuniq (talk) 08:30, 2 July 2025 (UTC)
- Strong recuse: I have pretty much no idea whatsoever what this is all about, but when I saw [1] posted on the naughty website I instantly recognised it as the Syndics of the Drapers' Guild. Have I mentioned that the part of my brain that should remember where I left my car keys, my wallet and my work ID appears to be populated by a concise history of Western European visual art from 1850 on? - Keep working on something in your userspace when something's been excluded from an article seems like a good way to figure out if it could be reincluded (excluding BLP vios an such). Skynxnex (talk) 17:25, 2 July 2025 (UTC)

- Keep. I'm disregarding any arguments about the merits of the mathematical equation - I personally don't see the problem with it, though others may disagree. However, the userboxes on the userpage clearly fall under WP:UPYES, and predate the MFD nomination. Epicgenius (talk) 19:48, 2 July 2025 (UTC)

- Keep Let's not police User pages. There is nothing polemical or offensive here. This editor has already been unnecessarily brought to ANI and now MFD adding to their stress. Maybe this discussion can close as a Speedy Keep. By the way, I checked this page with my phone and your sig is still unreadable. Luckily, I'm mainly on my laptop where it is looking good though.
